| Gems Launch CWBL - Four teams - Comets, Riveters, Skyline and Turtle Rocks - will take the field this summer in the new Chicago Women's Baseball League (CWBL). The 14-game season begins Sunday, June 1 and runs through the middle of September. All games will be played in Beford Park.

| Girls Baseball in Chicago - If you are a girl in the Chicago-area who prefers baseball to softball, you are not alone. The Chicago Pioneers
offer girls aged 9-15 the chance to practice and play in an all-girls
environment. |
Can-Am Spirit of Sportsmanship Tournament - The second annual Can-Am tournament will be held June 27-29 in South Bend, Indiana. The Gems will be there are are looking forward to playing your team. For more info, click the logo.

-The Gems and teams inthe CWBL are always looking for new players. Previous baseball or
softball experience is preferred, but all are welcome. Please email us and let us know your experience level and what positions you play. |
